Clipping Path
There are 2 ways of creating a clipping path in Photoshop:
1. Best way - In Photoshop, use the Pen Tool to trace around the cars. Save your path (Paths Panel), and then save the file as a TIFF or EPS. Tip – making a path using the Pen Tool (similar to Illustrator’s Pen Tool), be accurate when following the shape/curve of the object you are tracing. Other ways to make a path – depending on your subject image – select the Magic Wand, or Lasso Tool to make a selection, then go to the Paths Palette and choose “Make Work Path”. Tolerance 2.0. OK. Save as an EPS or TIFF with NONE compression.

2. Lazy way - In Photoshop, block-out by painting around your car background using a white brush. Save image as a TIFF or EPS image. Follow this tutorial in Indesign:

Indesign - Object > Clipping Path > Options. Choose „Detect Edges‟. Move slider bar on „Threshold‟ and „Tolerance‟ until it look right, then OK. Use the Direct Selection Tool (hollow white arrow) to adjust path around the car, or grab the Pen Tool and Add Anchor Points, or use the Convert Direction Point Tool.
